Meta: Social media giant Meta is currently developing a new AI tool. According to reports from The Wall Street Journal, Meta’s new AI tool will be more powerful than its existing Llama 2 and more advanced than OpenAI’s ChatGPT. For those unfamiliar with Llama 2, it is an open-source AI language model launched by Meta in July to compete with Google’s BERT and OpenAI’s GPT models. It is distributed through Microsoft’s Azure services.

Meta’s new tool will assist other companies in creating services that can analyze and generate text. The report also suggests that the company may begin training its new tool from next year, and it could potentially start trials in 2024.

Apple is also working on an AI tool
Bloomberg’s report in July revealed that Apple is also working on a new AI tool similar to OpenAI’s ChatGPT and Google’s BERT. The company has been working on its own framework to prepare its large language models, referred to as “Ajax.” Additionally, Apple is working on a chatbot referred to as “Apple GPT.”

Meta has been periodically updating its Threads app to enhance the user experience. Recently, the company introduced the feature of topic search for users. Currently, this update is available in English and Spanish-speaking countries. Through this feature, users can search for posts by entering keywords. For example, if you type “ice cream,” you will see posts related to it.
