His sudden demise occurred at 8:00 AM while he was dubbing for his television show called “Ethirneechal.” He was immediately taken to a nearby private hospital, but the doctors declared him dead. He was 58 years old. Tamil actor-director Jee Mariamuthu was recently seen in Rajinikanth’s blockbuster film ‘Jailer,’ confirmed film trade analyst Ramesh Bala.

Jee Mariamuthu’s mortal remains will be taken to his home in Chennai for the last rites, where family members will be present. His sudden demise has left the Tamil industry in shock, and several celebrities and fans are expressing grief over the loss.

Career of G. Marimuthu:
Jee Mariamuthu gained fame with his television show ‘Ethirneechal,’ where he became a household name for his character Adimuthu Gunasekaran. His popular dialogue “Hey, Indha” became an internet sensation. He began his career in 1999 with a supporting role in Ajith Kumar’s film ‘Vaali.’ He later worked as an assistant director under director Vasanth. The film ‘Aasai’ featured Ajith, Suvalakshmi, and Prakash Raj in lead roles. In 2008, Mariamuthu made his directorial debut with ‘Kannum Kannum,’ in which Prasanna and Udayathara played lead roles. He not only directed the film but also provided the script, screenplay, and dialogues. He took a long break from direction and made a comeback in 2014 with the film ‘Pulival.’ It was a thriller drama starring Prasanna and Vimal. The film was a remake of the 2011 Malayalam film ‘Chappa Kurishu.’
